Project overview

Building a Brand People Ask For by Name

Mr. Crocs UG came to us as a business with a real product and real customers, but without the brand architecture to match. In a market where similar products compete largely on price, being the name people ask for is worth more than being the cheapest option on the shelf.

Our brief covered both halves of that problem: the brand itself — how it looks, sounds and is recognised — and the market strategy sitting underneath it, defining who the brand is actually for and why they should choose it.

The Strategy Work

We started with the market rather than the logo. Who is genuinely buying, what are they choosing between, what do the competing options offer, and where is the gap nobody has claimed. In Uganda this is fieldwork, not desk research — the data simply does not exist in a report you can buy.

Brand Identity

The Brand Work

With the position agreed, the identity followed from it rather than the other way round. We designed for where the brand actually appears in Uganda — shop signage under hard sun, delivery packaging, WhatsApp display pictures, social posts and market-day visibility — not just for a presentation slide.

Everything was delivered as a complete file package the client owns outright, including a single-colour version that survives cheap printing and embroidery, because that is where a lot of real-world brand exposure happens here.
