A Logistics Business That Needed to Be Findable
Dad Emma Logistics moves goods for businesses and individuals across Uganda. Like most logistics operators here, the work came through referrals, phone calls and WhatsApp — which works until the person who needs you has never heard your name.
The brief was straightforward: give the company a proper online presence so that a prospective client searching for a logistics partner can find them, understand what they do, see that they are a real and established operation, and get in touch without friction.
What We Built
We designed and developed the company website at dademmalogistics.com, built mobile-first because that is how the overwhelming majority of Ugandan visitors arrive, and kept the page weight low so it loads on a mobile data connection rather than only on office wifi.
- A clear services structure, so a visitor understands the offering in seconds
- Contact routes that match how Ugandan customers actually get in touch
- Mobile-first build, tested on the handsets and connections customers really use
- Content the company can update without needing a developer
How We Approached It
Logistics is a trust business. A customer handing over cargo is making a judgment about whether a company is real, reachable and accountable, and a website either supports that judgment or quietly undermines it. So the priority was not decoration — it was credibility and clarity.
We scoped the work up front, agreed a fixed price, and built in stages so the client could see progress and give feedback before launch rather than being handed a finished site and asked to approve it. The domain and hosting are registered in the client’s own name, and every credential was handed over in writing at completion.
- Fixed scope and fixed price agreed before work started
- Staged delivery with client review at each stage
- Full ownership of domain, hosting and content handed to the client
